Martin Sign Company has an opportunity for a rock star Project Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a team leader with strong organizational and planning skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced creative environment.
This position will support our Client Services department, interacting with clients as well as internal teams to ensure projects move smoothly through the MSC Value Chain and are completed on time and on budget.

We are Martin Sign Company, the only company of our kind in San Francisco. We specialize in Visual Communications and Branded Environments, Way-finding, Code Compliance and Promotional Graphics. Our clients range from large tech firms to small mom and pop shops throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
We are looking for a rock star Project Manager to support our Client Services team in moving projects through the Martin Sign Company value chain. This position is involved in all aspects of project fulfillment, from lead generation and conversion, through scope planning and production, to final installation and close-out. Knowledge of technical requirements, vendor locations and connections, and ability to deal effectively with both small and large businesses will be necessary. This position is located in San Francisco, CA, and may require occasional travel outside of the area for more remote client site visits.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager is the planner, coordinator and job manager responsible for ensuring that every assigned project is completed on time and on budget. The major responsibilities of the position are:
- Customer correspondence
- Assist with scope development and plan take-offs
- Assist with sales orders submitted to plant
- Get customer sign-off on project requirements
- Ensure that contracts are executed properly, on time and budget
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency to ensure timely project completion and high customer satisfaction
- Plan, assist and schedule project plans for all assigned projects (based on client and/or site needs)
- Punch List and Installation preparedness
- Follow up with customers after project completion
- Prepare and provide Reports as required (i.e. Field Reports, Job Cost Status)
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Administration, Business. Classes in environmental graphic design, Business, Project Management, Construction Law
Skills: Knowledge of sign making materials and processes, basic computer operations, experience in reading plans and drawings. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Word & Excel.
Personal Qualities: Positive attitude, strong people and written/oral communication skills, leader and motivator. Good judgment and decision making. Good organizational and planning capabilities.
Other: Five years (minimum) of project management experience, preferably in the industry. Needs to know and understand how to best satisfy the customer’s needs and expectations.
Full-time, $60-75K plus incentive bonuses, paid time off, medical benefits after 90 days.
