Hand painting is a classic way to make signs.  It is still popular.  It’s time consuming and it takes some skill but hand painting is still my favorite way to do signs.

For La Boulange, they wanted a sidewalk sign for their California street location.  They wanted a classic hand painted look instead of digital printing or regular vinyl graphics.  You can see by the photo that if these were done in vinyl or digital printing that a lot of the character would be lost.
